Theatres of Spilt Dreams

Hey Guys. Here is a poem I wrote some months back about the universities being "theatres of spilt dreams". How prophetic! With the ASUU strike on inching towards the 90 day mark with no hope in sight, a lot of dreams are getting spilt. Read and mourn with me. :-(

Theatres of Spilt Dreams

Beyond the sphere of thoughts
Men dream
Yet the dreams of men have sunk beneath the black earth
Spilt by the crushing weight of brick walls

Wail ye, wail ye
The dreamer is emasculated
Where shall I sow my seed dreams?

The tower of ivory is a theatre of spilt dreams

God's grace, subway surfers: what's the connection?

I was in church yesterday for Bible study and it was so awesome I had to share. We studied God's grace which in Greek is Charis. Let me digress. I am a big fan of the game subway surfers and I have a score of about 255k to show for the countless hours I have put into the game. God's grace to us can be defined as the unmerited favor and support God bequeathed upon us. Titus 2:11,12 I paraphrase: The grace ...

It's Alright Now

I saw a damsel walking by I smiled and said hello She sneered and gave me nasty look And then walked away But its alright now I guess my lesson's learnt Not every girl wants to be friends Not every story happily ends I saw a fine girl walking by She smiled and I said hi We spent the evening writing poems Singing as we went So am alright now I guess my lesson's learnt As there are red and blue flames Not every girl is the same I've seen the heights of life I've also seen the other side Be nice to everyone you meet Be nice to the cat on the street But it's alright now I guess my lesson's learnt Not everything is as it seems Not everything is as we see I wrote a poem late last night Because I couldn't sleep I worried if it made any sense Or if it was just dense But it's alright now I guess my lesson's learnt You can't please everyone I write to be at peace with myself
