Shoot Your Shot

There is a lot of content out there that encourage you to "shoot your shot", "take that step", or "just do it". I am here to endorse and reinforce these concepts in a few words. A lot of barriers may pop up and things may look bleak but then give it a shot. If you don't think you'd get it (or her) then shoot your shot for confirmation. At least you get an E for Effort.

I would be signing a big deal in the coming months. Considering that I thought I would be in the educational sector for longer, I almost did not give it a thought when I saw the adverts but then, here I am on the verge of a career switch. It did not take much effort, I just needed to shoot.

Whatever it is you have in mind, you don't kill it with what ifs. Give it a shot. It is better to try and fail than not to try at all and then wallow in coulda, woulda, shouldas and regrets.

All I am saying in other words is, just do it. Please prepare hard before shooting. Opportunity favours the prepared. This shouldn't be an excuse for mediocrity. Make each shot your best shot.

Ethereal Music: My Top 7

I feel am in Ether. What's Ether? Actually the question should be "where is Ether?" It a place deep airy place in my mind that I retreat into when I meditate and have those out of the world floaty floaty thoughts. Here are my Top 7 song for the last week in random order. 1. Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek This accapella song just gets to me in a very special way, most especially the part she sings "watcha say". Like am so much into a song with no beats! How amazing. Let it Grow

I watched the film The Lorax last weekend and I must admit: I was touched. In the film there is a town where the air is polluted so people have to buy clean air and there were no trees. It takes the determination of a little boy to convince the town’s folk to let him plant a tree and let it grow. The environment is continuously damaged by human activities. It is so bad that some Chinese fear the air they breathe. Cancer is one of the leading killer diseases there. Their problem we may say, but environmental issues are not always like that.
